How to beat Colony Flow! Level 518 — full solution

  1. Allow the Blue 40 box in the slot to clear the outer pond border, then tap Cyan 45 (row 1, column 2), Brown 26 (row 1, column 3), Light Green 45 (row 2, column 3), and White 40 (row 2, column 4). The ants strip the pond edges, lower bank stones, and white fish belly.
  2. Tap Purple 35 (row 1, column 1) and Cyan 45 (row 1, column 4) as previous slots empty. The ants clear the exposed deep water blocks and outer pond corners, freeing two slots.
  3. Tap the diagonally linked Red 44 and Red 45 pair once the koi markings and top-right flower petals are exposed. Both boxes fill slots together and begin stripping the red floral and fish pixels.
  4. Tap Brown 28, Black 40, and White 35 as they reach the front row. The ants remove fish outlines, eye details, and lily pad accents, opening up the inner water and yellow fish bodies.
  5. Deploy Green 35, Brown 38, and Black 15 from the front row. The ants clear the large top-right lily pad leaves and the remaining dark outlines, exposing the core of the koi.
  6. Send Yellow and Orange boxes into open slots alongside Cyan 43. The ants clear the swimming koi bodies and the central light water background, leaving three slots open.
  7. Tap Red 8, Orange 2, and Yellow 6 to clear the remaining flower center and koi tail fins, followed by the remaining Green, Cyan, and Purple boxes to finish stripping all water and lily tiles into the nest.

Moves that cost you the level

  • Tapping the linked Red 44 and Red 45 pair in the opening → both red boxes consume two slots immediately while red blocks are mostly buried inside the fish and flower, causing a slot jam.
  • Sending Black boxes before the fish outlines and flower centers are uncovered → black tiles are deeply layered, leaving the black box stuck in a slot.

Quick tips for Level 518

  • Clear cyan and blue water blocks from the outside inwards to expose the koi fins and lily pad outlines.
  • Keep at least two open slots available before tapping the diagonally linked red pair.
Board breakdown5 notes
Layout
A pixel pond mosaic featuring koi fish, green lily pads, and a blossom above an ant nest hole, five slots, and a four-column stack of ant boxes.
Goal
Carry away all coloured blocks from the koi pond picture using ant boxes without running out of slots.
Opening
Blue 40 starts in a slot clearing border water; tap Cyan 45, Brown 26, Light Green 45, and White 40 to strip the exposed outer perimeter.
Trap
The diagonally linked Red 44 and Red 45 pair requires two free slots simultaneously and will stall if released before the koi bodies and flower petals are unblocked.
Mechanic
Diagonally linked boxes share a connecting bar; tapping either sends both boxes into the slots at the same time.

Level 518 questions

  • When should I tap the linked Red boxes in Level 518?

Wait until outer blue and white blocks are stripped so that the red flower petals and koi patterns are exposed, and ensure you have at least two empty slots.
