How to beat Colony Flow! Level 503 — full solution
- Let White 32 and Beige 30 work from slots 1 and 2 to strip the bottom rim of the shell. Tap the Black 36 box (front row, third column) to deploy ants onto the exposed outer black outline.
- Tap the Yellow 38 box (front row, fourth column) to begin eroding the top of the outer shell. Tap the Purple 23 box (front row, first column) to clear the exposed lower hinge accents.
- Tap the Purple 25 box (front row, second column) and Pink 29 into open slots. They strip the magenta and purple lining beneath the clam as the black border dissolves.
- Send in Yellow 30 and the next exposed Yellow boxes as slots free up. Their ants carve away the bulk of the upper shell ridges from the outside in.
- Tap the Black 25 box and White 30 box from the stack. The black ants remove the inner shell framing while white ants start clearing the exposed outer surface of the pearl.
- Deploy the Yellow 40 box and Purple 5 box to finish breaking down the upper shell canopy and remove the purple shadow beneath the pearl.
- Tap the White 22 box and Beige 14 box to dismantle the body of the pearl as the surrounding shell fragments clear away.
- Tap the final White 30 and Yellow 38 boxes to gather the remaining core of the pearl and the last yellow pixels at the top.

Moves that cost you the level
- Tapping White 30 or Purple 25 while the shell is fully intact → the pearl is completely enclosed, so the box stalls in a slot with no exposed blocks to carry.
- Opening too many Yellow boxes simultaneously early on → five slots fill up while black boundary lines still block access to deeper yellow layers.
Quick tips for Level 503
- Prioritize Black boxes whenever they reach the front row, as black outlines enclose and block all interior colours.
- Keep at least two slots free for transitional colours like Pink and Beige so your main clearing colours never bottleneck.
Board breakdown5 notes
- Layout
- The picture depicts an open clam shell with a round pearl in the center, resting on a sandy base. Five slots sit above a four-column stack of ant boxes.
- Goal
- Remove every pixel block of the clam shell and pearl using the ant boxes provided in the stack.
- Opening
- White 32 and Beige 30 start in the first two slots, working on the exposed base. Tapping Black 36 immediately begins stripping the outer outline.
- Trap
- The White boxes for the pearl are useless at the start because the pearl is fully buried inside the shell; activating them early blocks your slots.
- Mechanic
- Each column in the stack drains independently; once all boxes in a column are tapped, the remaining columns stay in their respective positions.
Level 503 questions
-
Why aren't my white ants carrying blocks on Level 503?
The white blocks belong to the central pearl, which is completely surrounded by the clam shell. Clear the black outline and yellow shell first to expose the pearl.
