How to beat Colony Flow! Level 252 — full solution

  1. Tap the White 31 box in the front row, left, followed by the Cyan 40 box in the front row, middle. Their ants clear the outer white stripes and cyan background surrounding the bow.
  2. Tap the Cyan 35 box in the front row, left. It collects the exposed cyan boundary blocks, uncovering the lower outline of the pink ribbon.
  3. Tap the Red 40 box in the front row, middle, and the Red 38 box in the front row, right. Their ants carry away the exposed red outline and shaded segments along the bottom and knot.
  4. Tap the Pink 35 box in the front row, left, and the Pink 35 box in the front row, right. Their ants strip the exposed pink bow material on the left and right loops.
  5. Tap the Cyan 40 box and the linked Cyan 35 and Pink 40 pair across the lower stack. They consume the remaining cyan background sections and the outer edges of the ribbon loops.
  6. Tap the revealed White 32 box and the Red 35 box in the active row. Their ants finish off the remaining white pattern blocks and clear interior red shading in the bow knot.
  7. Tap the revealed Red 12 box and Pink 10 box linked below. They carve into the inner core of the ribbon.
  8. Tap the remaining Pink and Cyan boxes from the final stack layers in any order. Their ants remove all remaining pixel blocks to empty the board.

Moves that cost you the level

  • Tapping the Grey ? mystery box while the slots are crowded → revealing a deep interior color that has no exposed blocks will trap that box in a slot and cause an overflow.
  • Tapping inner Red or Pink boxes before stripping the Cyan border → red and pink ants find no exposed targets at the start, locking two bays immediately.

Quick tips for Level 252

  • Strip the background colors (Cyan and White) first to maximize the exposed perimeter of the Red and Pink ribbon.
  • Linked boxes require two empty slots simultaneously; clear single boxes before triggering a linked pair.
Board breakdown5 notes
Layout
The picture depicts a large pink and red ribbon bow centered against a cyan backdrop with diagonal white accent stripes. Below the picture are five open slots and a stack arranged three boxes wide.
Goal
Clear all colored pixel blocks composing the ribbon and background by matching them to ant boxes until the board is empty.
Opening
Begin with the White 31 and Cyan 40 boxes in the front row, as both colours have wide outer exposure along the edges of the picture.
Trap
Tapping the linked pair or buried mystery box before clearing the Cyan border will stall boxes in the slots because the inner ribbon blocks are shielded.
Mechanic
Linked boxes share a connector rod and enter the slots together when either box is tapped, requiring two open slots to deploy.

Level 252 questions

  • Which box should I tap first on Level 252?

Tap the White 31 box and Cyan 40 box first to peel away the outer backdrop and expose the ribbon edges.

  • Why do my Pink ant boxes stop working?

Pink blocks are encased inside the cyan frame and red shading. Clear the surrounding Cyan and Red blocks first to expose more Pink targets.
