How to beat Colony Flow! Level 228 — full solution
- Tap the Cyan 30 box on the left and the Cyan 35 box in the center of the front row. They enter the slots and start clearing the exposed cyan sky from the upper edges.
- Tap the White 20 box on the left, the Cyan 45 box in the center, and the Orange 50 box on the right. This exposes the outer cloud layers and begins clearing the right edge of the dog's ears.
- Tap the Yellow 25 box on the far right and the Light Blue 40 box on the far left. The ants carry away the outer yellow sand blocks along the bottom and expose the sea layer.
- Tap the revealed White 35 box and the revealed Grey mystery box in the center, followed by the linked Dark Purple and Black boxes. Dark Purple and Black ants clear the dog's eyes, nose, and body outlines.
- Tap the Cyan 40 box and Light Blue 30 box from the newly exposed rows. They strip the remaining sea blocks beneath the dog and the remaining sky blocks in the upper half.
- Tap the Orange 20 box and Yellow 25 box on the right stack. They clear the inner coat of the dog and the remaining beach blocks beneath the dog's paws.
- Tap the remaining Cyan 11 box and Orange 19 box to finish the last few stray pixels. Once every ant brings its block into the nest, the level is complete.

Moves that cost you the level
- Tapping the Orange 50 box before clearing the surrounding Cyan and White clouds → orange blocks are trapped beneath outer layers, leaving the box stalled in a slot.
- Tapping the linked Dark Purple and Black boxes when fewer than two slots are free → linked boxes require two slots simultaneously and can cause an instant overflow.
Quick tips for Level 228
- Always count free slots before releasing linked boxes, as they occupy two spaces instantly.
- Work from the outer frame inward: the pale frame, white clouds, and cyan sky must be stripped before the dog's body can be accessed.
Board breakdown5 notes
- Layout
- The picture depicts an orange and white dog on a sandy beach under a cyan sky with white clouds. Five empty slots sit above a layered stack of ant boxes.
- Goal
- Clear all pixel blocks in the picture using ant boxes from the stack without letting the five slots fill up with stuck boxes.
- Opening
- Begin by tapping Cyan 30 and Cyan 35 from the top row, as cyan sky pixels are directly exposed around the perimeter.
- Trap
- The Orange 50 box contains many ants, but the dog's body is deeply buried inside the frame; tapping it too early clogs a slot for a long period.
- Mechanic
- Linked boxes joined by connectors must enter the slots at the same time, demanding two free slots simultaneously.
Level 228 questions
