How to beat Colony Flow! Level 21 — full solution

  1. Release the Green 20 box (front row, left). Green ants march out to clear the bottom-left grass border, leaving one slot in use.
  2. Release the Black 25 box (front row, middle) and the Green 25 box (front row, left). Green ants clear more bottom grass, exposing the lower black pentagon so black ants can begin collecting. Two slots in use.
  3. Release the White 20 box (front row, right) and the Green 22 box (front row, left). Green ants chew through the lower border, freeing exposed edges for both black and white ants. Four slots in use.
  4. Release the Black 18 box (front row, middle) and the White 20 box (front row, right). Black and white ants strip the lower ball interior while green ants finish the bottom corners. Four slots in use.
  5. Release the Green 22 box (front row, right) and the revealed Black 20 box (front row, middle). Green ants carve along the right border while black ants strip lower-central ball patches. Four slots in use.
  6. Release the White 14 box (front row, right) and the Green 25 box (front row, left). Green ants push up the left side of the frame while white ants clear the lower-central white patches. Four slots in use.
  7. Release the White 14 box (front row, right), the Black 24 box (front row, middle), and the Green 20 box (front row, left). Ants strip the middle edges of the ball and surrounding grass. Four slots in use.
  8. Release the Black 26 box (front row, middle), the White 20 box (front row, right), and the Green 26 box (front row, left). Black and white ants strip the upper ball while green ants clear the top border. Four slots in use.
  9. Release the Black 20 box (front row, middle), the Green 20 box (front row, left), and the mystery Grey ? 20 box (front row, middle, revealing White 20). Ants clear the remaining upper sections. Four slots in use.
  10. Release the White 14 box (front row, right) and the final Green 20 box (front row, left). All active ants carry away the final remaining blocks, clearing the picture completely.

Moves that cost you the level

  • Tapping Black 25 and White 20 before Green 20 carves into the border → the ball is completely enclosed by green grass, so black and white ants cannot reach any blocks and clog the slots.
  • Stacking multiple boxes of one colour while its targets are walled off → idle boxes remain stuck in slots, preventing you from deploying the colour needed to break through.

Quick tips for Level 21

  • Prioritize green boxes whenever the outer perimeter is intact, as black and white blocks only become exposed once the grass is removed.
  • Keep at least one slot open at all times to safely handle mystery boxes without risking a slot jam.
Board breakdown5 notes
Layout
A pixel-art soccer ball centered on a green grass field, with two nests between the picture and five slots. Below the slots sits a stack of twenty-two ant boxes arranged in three columns.
Goal
Clear all green, black, and white blocks from the picture before the 5-minute countdown timer runs out.
Opening
Send the Green 20 box first to strip the bottom grass edge, then follow with Black 25 and Green 25 once the ball's outer perimeter is reachable.
Trap
Tapping black or white boxes before green ants clear the enclosing perimeter leaves those boxes stuck in slots with zero exposed blocks.
Mechanic
Mystery boxes marked with question marks hide their colour until moved or tapped, transforming into regular numbered boxes upon reveal.

Level 21 questions

  • What should I tap first on Level 21?

Tap the Green 20 box in the front left. The soccer ball is surrounded by green grass, so green ants must clear the perimeter before black or white blocks become exposed.

  • How do I handle the mystery boxes in the middle column?

Keep spare slots open before reaching them. The mystery boxes reveal Black 20 and White 20, both of which immediately find exposed targets on the ball.
