How to beat Colony Flow! Level 189 — full solution
- Tap the three front Purple 45 boxes across columns 1, 2, and 3. Their ants swarm the outer purple border, chewing through the top and lateral framing blocks. Four slots are in use including the starting Purple 24 box.
- Tap Red 50 (front row, column 4) to chip at the exposed red ear and forehead of the animal. Follow with Green 9 (row 2, column 2) as soon as the small green decorative block is reached. Two slots free up as the initial purple boxes deplete.
- Tap the linked Purple 25 + Black 5 pair (row 2, middle). Ensure two slots are open beforehand so the linked pair fits without overflowing. Black ants clear the dark collar studs while purple ants strip more perimeter tiles, leaving three slots occupied.
- Tap Purple 30 (row 2, column 1) and Cyan 20 (row 2, column 4). The cyan ants target the blade detail across the creature's mouth, while the purple ants dissolve the side borders. Four slots remain active.
- Tap Purple 35 (row 2, right) and Purple 45 (row 3, left) to finish clearing the bulk of the outer purple background. This fully exposes the outer curvature of the yellow circular moon and unlocks the Yellow key.
- Tap Red 63 (row 2, column 2) and the newly unlocked Yellow 25 (row 1, column 2). Yellow ants eat away the upper half of the moon, while red ants strip the animal's back and head. Three slots remain open.
- Tap Yellow 40 (row 1, column 1) and Orange 49 (row 2, column 2). The orange ants dismantle the ground curve beneath the figure, and yellow ants clear the remaining celestial background, fully exposing the brown inner body blocks.
- Tap Brown 34 (row 2, column 1) and the final Purple 35 (row 3, column 1). Brown ants carry away the animal's shaded patches and spots, while purple ants clear the last corner remnants to complete the level.

Moves that cost you the level
- Tapping Brown 34 before Yellow 40 and Red 63 finish → brown blocks are deeply buried inside the animal's body, causing Brown 34 to stall indefinitely in a slot.
- Tapping the linked Purple 25 + Black 5 pair with four slots already filled → the double box requires two free bays, triggering an instant board jam.
Quick tips for Level 189
- Clear outer border colours completely before committing inner character colours to the slots.
- Keep at least two slots open whenever a linked box pair reaches the front of the stack.
Board breakdown5 notes
- Layout
- A pixel-art fox or dog framed against a yellow moon sits above two ant nests. The stack underneath contains four columns of boxes featuring locks, keys, and a linked pair.
- Goal
- Clear all coloured blocks from the 20 visible stack boxes across the five available slots.
- Opening
- Deploy the front Purple 45 boxes to clear the outermost border framing the entire image.
- Trap
- Brown 34 stalls immediately if sent into a slot early because all brown pixels are buried beneath the yellow and red layers.
- Mechanic
- Linked boxes share a connector and must enter the slots simultaneously, requiring two open slots to deploy.
