Colony Flow! level guide
Colony Flow! Level 16 Walkthrough
Level 16 presents a pixel-art cat with a thick black outline, white fur, red and pink accessories, and cyan eyes. Fill the slots with black boxes first to strip the outer contour, then alternate white and red boxes to uncover the interior. Avoid slotting the cyan box before the eyes are exposed.

How to beat Colony Flow! Level 16 — full solution
- Release the Black 35 box (front row, middle), the Black 40 box (front row, left), then the Black 40 box (front row, middle). Three slots are occupied by Black boxes, which immediately begin carrying away the cat's outer black perimeter.
- Release the next Black 35 box (front row, middle) and the Black 40 box (front row, middle). All five slots are now full of Black boxes, accelerating the removal of the top, sides, and bottom black outline.
- As the first two Black boxes finish, release the White 30 box (front row, right) and the Red 35 box (front row, middle). White ants begin stripping the exposed paws while red ants target the collar; three slots remain occupied.
- Release the White 35 box (front row, middle) and the next White 35 box (front row, middle) into freed slots. White ants clear substantial portions of the body and tail, opening up interior sections while the remaining black boxes clear out.
- Release the Black 38 box (front row, middle) and the Cyan 4 box (front row, right). Cyan 4 lands in a slot and stalls because the eyes are still buried under white fur. Black ants strip interior linework around the legs and face; four slots are in use.
- Release the White 35 box (front row, right), the Red 35 box (front row, right), and the Black 40 box (front row, middle). White and red ants clear the ears, Santa hat, and bow, bringing the face blocks closer to exposure.
- Release the Pink 35 box (front row, left), the Red 28 box (front row, middle), and the White 38 box (front row, right). As white and pink ants strip the face, the stuck Cyan 4 box finally activates, collects all four eye blocks, and clears its slot.
- Release the final Black 38 box (front row, middle). Black and remaining white ants remove the nose, mouth, whiskers, and pupils, clearing every block from the board to complete the level.

Moves that cost you the level
- Tapping Cyan 4 into a slot during the opening → the cyan eye blocks are buried under white fur, causing the box to stall and permanently reduce your available slots.
- Tapping Pink 35 before clearing the outer black outline → pink blocks are on the inner ears and collar, so the box sits idle and risks overflowing the slots.
Quick tips for Level 16
- Prioritize black boxes in the opening because black forms the entire outer boundary of the cat.
- When clearing the white fur, open multiple white boxes simultaneously to accelerate stripping from several exposed edges.
Board breakdown5 notes
- Layout
- The board displays a 5-slot tray beneath a pixel-art kitten and above a 3-column stack of numbered ant boxes.
- Goal
- Clear all blocks from the pixel picture by emptying 18 ant boxes into the five slots.
- Opening
- Tap the front black boxes from the middle and left columns to immediately begin stripping the outer border.
- Trap
- Tapping Cyan 4 too early stalls it in a slot for a long time because the cat's cyan eye blocks are buried beneath layers of white face fur.
- Mechanic
- Only blocks exposed along the outer perimeter of the remaining art can be picked up by ants; interior colours remain locked until surrounding blocks are carried away.
Level 16 questions
-
What do I tap first in Colony Flow! Level 16?
Tap the Black 35 and Black 40 boxes in the front row to clear the black border surrounding the cat.
-
Why is my Cyan 4 box not doing anything in Level 16?
The four cyan blocks represent the cat's eyes. They are buried inside the face and cannot be collected until white and black ants remove the blocks around them.
