How to beat Food Hunt: Pixel Puzzle Level 96 — full solution
- Tap White 31 (front row, left), Orange 64 (front row, second from left), Yellow 31 (front row, third from left), and Grey 23 (front row, right). These ants strip the outer frame, upper yellow sky, and grey border pixels, opening up the top row of the grid.
- Tap the revealed Brown 31 and White 17 from the front row, followed by Grey 31 and Brown 17. The ants feed on the upper smoke plumes and mast pixels, freeing two bays as the initial small jars empty.
- Deploy Green 21, Orange 31, White 14, and Brown 13 into open bays. Green ants immediately eat the bottom-left water accents while Orange and White peel away the sky background and ship superstructure.
- Send Purple 5, Cyan 30, and Blue 21 into the bays. Cyan and Blue ants begin eating the horizontal water layer across the bottom of the picture, exposing the lower edge of the ship hull.
- Tap White 31, Yellow 31, Green 3, and Orange 28. Yellow and Orange ants remove the funnel details and mid-sky patches, while Green completes its portion of the waterline.
- Release Yellow 60, Brown 10, Cyan 12, and Blue 5 into the active bays. Cyan and Blue ants eat the remaining surface waves, clearing the lower picture area and opening up deeper grid jars.
- Tap Yellow 64, Blue 21, White 26, and Orange 28. Yellow and Orange ants eliminate the remaining smoke clouds, while White ants clean up the ship cabin windows and portholes.
- Tap Yellow 41, Grey 12, White 6, and Brown 9 into the bays. These jars finish clearing the mast, upper deck railings, and background sky, leaving only the dark ship hull exposed.
- Tap Dark Grey 38 (followed by Dark Grey 61 as revealed), Cyan 34, Yellow 6, and Orange 16. The Dark Grey ants consume the large sunken hull while the remaining jars clear the final waterline pixels to finish the level.

Moves that cost you the level
- Tapping Dark Grey jars while the hull is still covered by cabin windows, funnels, and water → Dark Grey ants find no exposed pixels, leaving the jar stalled in a bay until the outer layers clear.
- Filling all five bays with high-capacity jars (such as Orange 64 and Yellow 64) simultaneously → bays remain locked for extended periods, risking gridlock when a mandatory uncovering colour is needed.
Quick tips for Level 96
- Prioritize clearing the blue and cyan water pixels across the bottom early to expose the lower perimeter of the hull.
- Uncover mystery jars along the sides whenever a small jar empties to discover low-count utility colours.
Board breakdown5 notes
- Layout
- A pixel art depiction of an ocean liner sinking into cyan water against a yellow and orange smoky sky. Beneath the ant hole are five bays, and below them sits a multi-row grid of jars containing visible and mystery jars.
- Goal
- Empty all jars and clear every pixel of the sinking ship scene, including sky, funnels, cabin, water, and hull.
- Opening
- Start by tapping the front-row White 31, Orange 64, Yellow 31, and Grey 23 jars to immediately strip the picture perimeter and outer sky.
- Trap
- The massive Dark Grey and Black hull pixels are fully encased by the white cabin decks, funnels, and cyan sea; deploying dark jars before those layers are removed stalls a bay indefinitely.
- Mechanic
- Mystery jars marked with question marks uncover their colour and target count once the jar directly in front is tapped into a bay.
Level 96 questions
-
What should I tap first on Level 96?
Tap the four front-row jars (White 31, Orange 64, Yellow 31, Grey 23) to clear the outer border and expose the underlying grid jars.
-
Why won't my Dark Grey ants eat the ship?
The dark hull pixels are covered by the sea, portholes, and funnels. You must clear the surrounding cyan, white, and orange pixels before dark pixels become exposed.
