How to beat Food Hunt: Pixel Puzzle Level 389 — full solution
- Tap Orange 13 (row 1, left), Hot Pink 27 (row 1, centre-left), Orange 13 (row 1, centre), Hot Pink 27 (row 1, centre-right), and Orange 13 (row 1, right). Then release Cyan 7 and Light Blue 3. Outer Orange and Hot Pink framing dissolves, opening bays for the next wave.
- Tap Black 35, Hot Pink 9, and Cyan 3 to take up the free bays. Black ants consume perimeter border accents while Hot Pink and Cyan wear down the outer loop edges. The central Black 35 finishes, clearing the middle bay.
- Tap Yellow 8 (front row, left), Orange 7 (front row, right), and newly unblocked Brown 17 and Light Blue 17. The ants strip the outer corners of the knot pattern, cycling Cyan and Hot Pink out and freeing three bays.
- Tap Brown 10 (front row, left) and Yellow 4 (front row, centre) while Hot Pink 9 and Hot Pink 8 clear. Lower knot loops begin thinning out, bringing Hot Pink 27, Cyan 6, Light Blue 8, and Light Blue 28 into the front row.
- Tap Yellow 6 (front row, left), Cyan 2 (front row, centre-left), and Dark Green 7 (front row, right). Exposed yellow and green knot segments vanish, damaging the bottom-left corner barrier and revealing Red 40 and Hot Pink 8 in the grid.
- Tap Brown 40, Dark Green 8, Cyan 25, and Dark Grey 43 into the open bays. The bottom-left web barrier shatters, uncovering underlying pixel blocks while the central woven band begins to loosen.
- Tap Grey 2, Brown 20, Cyan 18, and Hot Pink 8 into the bays. This eats away the lower central knot structures and breaks the bottom-right corner barrier, shifting Red 23, Light Blue 26, and Purple 37 to the front.
- Tap Brown 8, Yellow 4, Cyan 15, and Hot Pink 3 into the bays. Ants clear lower ribbon loops and break the top-left corner barrier, leaving only the top-right barrier intact with two bays open.
- Tap Orange 8, Purple 27, and Dark Grey 67 into the bays. The final top-right barrier shatters, allowing dark grey and purple ants to strip the thick upper ribbon sections and exposing Blue 20, Light Green 33, and Light Blue 26.
- Tap Light Green 9, Yellow 1, Purple 2, and Cyan 10 into the free bays. The inner loops of the Celtic knot disintegrate, bringing Grey 55, Blue 24, and Purple 18 forward in the grid.
- Tap Cyan 1, Purple 3, Orange 5, Cyan 4, and Yellow 2 to eliminate the remaining outer ribbon fragments. The last large jars, Dark Grey 85 and Purple 18, become fully exposed.
- Tap Dark Grey 85, Purple 18, Blue 24, Light Blue 26, Yellow 6, Purple 6, Blue 4, Dark Grey 11, and Purple 11. Ants strip the final top ribbon pixels, clearing the board completely.

Moves that cost you the level
- Tapping Dark Grey 67 or Dark Grey 85 before breaking the corner barriers → the dark pixels beneath the webs are inaccessible, causing the large jar to stall and clog a bay for the entire mid-game.
- Filling all five bays with inner-knot colours like Red and Dark Green during the opening → the outer border pixels must clear first, completely blocking progress.
Quick tips for Level 389
- Prioritize jars matching the outermost border colours (Orange and Hot Pink) before touching colours tucked into the interior weave.
- Keep at least one bay empty whenever targeting corner web barriers so newly exposed colours have an immediate landing slot.
Board breakdown5 notes
- Layout
- A symmetrical Celtic knot sits in the upper play area surrounded by four webbed corner barriers, with five bays below feeding ants to the pixel board.
- Goal
- Clear all pixels of the Celtic knot and destroy the four corner barriers by feeding matching coloured jars from the jar grid into the bays.
- Opening
- Start by tapping the five front-row jars (Orange 13 and Hot Pink 27 alternated), which safely match the outermost border pixels.
- Trap
- Large jars like Dark Grey 43 and Dark Grey 67 cannot finish until the corner barriers break; tapping them prematurely easily leads to a bay lock.
- Mechanic
- Corner barriers act as hit-count obstacles that shield underlying pixels until damaged and broken by clearing adjacent segments.
Level 389 questions
-
What should I tap first on Level 389?
Tap the alternating Orange 13 and Hot Pink 27 jars across the front row to clear the outermost framing pixels immediately.
-
Why are my dark grey jars not emptying?
Dark Grey pixels are shielded under the four corner web barriers. Break the barriers first before sending large Dark Grey jars to the bays.
