How to beat Food Hunt: Pixel Puzzle Level 262 — full solution

  1. Tap the Red 34 jar (row 1, left), the Yellow 22 jar (row 1, right), and the Green 24 jar (row 2, right). The Red and Yellow jars strip outer frame pixels while Green clears side details, freeing bays quickly.
  2. Tap the Dark Grey 26 jar (row 3, left), the Purple 21 jar (row 3, right), and the Red 26 jar (revealed row 4, left). These chew through outer television border edges and the antenna base.
  3. Tap the Blue 17 jar (row 2, left), the Orange 25 jar (row 1, center), and the Orange 25 jar directly behind it. Blue ants start removing the antenna highlights while Orange clears the lower casing.
  4. Tap the Light Green 12 jar (or Green 12 in the front row) and the Red 18 jar. Red ants finish the main body shell, exposing inner screen elements and side dials.
  5. Tap the Dark Grey 43 jar, the Yellow 20 jar, and the White 20 jar. White and Yellow ants begin dismantling the triangular hazard sign in the center of the display screen.
  6. Tap the Orange 30 jar, the Lilac 15 jar, and the Light Blue / Cyan 13 jar. These strip the screen background and antenna core as inner layers become fully accessible.
  7. Tap the Blue 20 jar, the Black 20 jar, and the White 18 jar in any order. Black clears the alert exclamation mark and frame borders, while White clears the warning sign interior.
  8. Tap the remaining Blue 10 jar, Cyan 30 jar, Red 40 jar, and Dark Grey 42 jar to strip the remaining antenna fragments and internal screen pixels, completing the level.

Moves that cost you the level

  • Tapping the Cyan 13 jar or Lilac 15 jar on the first few moves → Cyan and Lilac pixels are trapped deep inside the television screen and antenna core, causing the jars to stall in the bays.
  • Tapping the White 20 jar before clearing the surrounding Red and Yellow casing → White pixels make up the exclamation triangle background and cannot be reached until the front frame opens.

Quick tips for Level 262

  • Focus entirely on Red, Dark Grey, and Yellow in the opening; these colours form the outer frame of the television set.
  • Keep at least two bays free while cycling through the deep central stack to avoid stalls when new inner colours are revealed.
Board breakdown5 notes
Layout
A pixel art television with an antenna on top and a hazard warning sign on the screen. Below is a 5-bay rack and a jar grid stacked 4 rows deep.
Goal
Clear all pixels of the television picture by matching coloured jars to exposed pixels.
Opening
Start with the exposed Red 34, Yellow 22, and Green 24 jars from the front row to clear outer shell pixels immediately.
Trap
The Cyan 13 jar sitting in the middle column is buried beneath the Orange 25 jars and has no exposed pixels until the antenna and screen are uncovered.
Mechanic
Layered pixel clearance: pixels can only be eaten if they are on an outside border; interior colours remain locked until surrounding pixels are removed.

Level 262 questions

  • What should I tap first on Level 262?

Tap the Red 34 jar on the front left and the Yellow 22 jar on the front right. They target the exposed outer edge of the television casing.

  • Why is my Cyan jar stuck in a bay?

Cyan pixels belong to the antenna and inner screen graphics. You must clear the surrounding Dark Grey and Red outer pixels before Cyan becomes accessible.
