Colony Flow! Level 528 Walkthrough

normal Live 5 colours / pieces Checked September 20, 2026

Level 528 features an underwater treasure chest pixel art. Use exposed blue water and border colours first, while managing linked boxes and clearing yellow blocks to unlock the central treasure lock. Avoid filling all slots with inner chest colours before outer borders peel away.

How to beat Colony Flow! Level 528 — full solution

  1. Tap the Blue 34 box from the left slot opening, the Yellow 30 box, and the Yellow 38 box in the front row. They clear outer blue water and yellow seabed border blocks, leaving two slots free.
  2. Tap the Blue 35 box (row 2, column 1) and the Black 32 box (row 2, column 2). Blue continues stripping ocean tiles while Black removes the outer outlines of the treasure chest.
  3. Tap the Blue 35 box (row 2, column 3) and the Brown 35 box (row 3, column 1) once front spaces open. The Brown ants clear outer accents while Blue clears upper corners.
  4. Tap the linked Light Green 35 and Blue 35 pair (connected vertically across rows 3 and 4) into open slots. Light Green removes sea plants along the left and right borders.
  5. Tap the Black 35 box (row 4, column 3) and Brown 35 box (row 4, column 2) to continue taking down the lid framing and side planks.
  6. Tap the Brown 25 box and Red/Brown 36 box once exposed in the lower rows to dig into the main body of the chest.
  7. Tap the remaining Brown and Yellow boxes to dismantle the lock and chest face. The key from the chest reveals and opens the locked Light Blue box in the stack.
  8. Tap the Light Blue box and final Yellow boxes to clear the remaining keyhole trim and chest gold, completing the pixel art.

Moves that cost you the level

  • Tapping inner chest colours like Brown 35 or Red 36 before clearing outer Black borders → ants find no exposed edge blocks and stall indefinitely in the slots.
  • Tapping the linked Light Green and Blue boxes when fewer than two slots are free → you cannot deploy them and waste available board space.

Quick tips for Level 528

  • Always focus on the sea backdrop and outermost seaweed first to maximise exposed surface area on the chest.
  • Keep at least two slots open whenever approaching linked pairs in the stack.
Board breakdown5 notes
Layout
A pixel-art treasure chest surrounded by seabed sand, seaweed, and blue water sits at the top. Below the nest are five empty slots and a deep stack of 3-wide ant boxes with some linked and locked boxes.
Goal
Clear all coloured blocks from the treasure chest picture. There is no timer.
Opening
Tap the Blue and Yellow boxes ready in the slots and front row to begin stripping the seabed and top water edges.
Trap
The inner Brown chest planks and locked box colours are trapped behind the Black outline and Yellow trims. Selecting inner colours too early clogs the slots.
Mechanic
Linked boxes connect two adjacent cubes that must be sent to slots together, requiring two open slots at once. A locked box requires collecting the key embedded in the picture.

Level 528 questions

  • What should I clear first in Level 528?

Clear the Blue water blocks and Yellow seabed blocks at the edges first to reveal the chest outline.
