Colony Flow! level guide
Colony Flow! Level 485 Walkthrough
Level 485 features a pixel art fox buried beneath an outer white frame and a massive 109-block locked chest. Clear the outer white border first using White 40, then channel brown ant boxes to break the chest open. Once the chest is dismantled, deploy beige and orange boxes to finish the fox.
How to beat Colony Flow! Level 485 — full solution
- Tap Brown 14 (row 1, left) and Dark Purple 8 (row 1, third) into slots to uncover the second row. Tap White 40 (row 2, left). White ants begin stripping away the outer white frame surrounding the picture, leaving two slots open.
- Place Beige 35 and Green 2 into the available slots alongside Brown 14 and Dark Purple 8. As White 40 counts down to 1, the outer white perimeter disappears, exposing the dark bottom outlines and the corners of the central chest.
- White 40 empties and leaves its slot. Brown 14 and Dark Purple 8 begin carrying exterior blocks. Tap Black 16 and Hot Pink 9 into the open slots to target the lower border and chest trim. The chest countdown drops from 109 down to 53.
- Tap Brown 8 (row 1, middle) and Pink 15 into slots as prior boxes expire. Brown ants aggressively tear down the chest structure while Black 16 finishes the lower dark outline. The chest counter drops from 53 to 3, leaving slots holding Pink 3 and Brown 3.
- Deploy Brown 3 to remove the final 3 blocks of the chest, destroying it entirely. With the chest gone, the fox's face, cheeks, and green eyes are exposed. Tap Light Green 2 and Pink 3 to clear the facial accents, freeing two slots.
- Tap Beige 29 into slot 3. Beige ants immediately swarm the fox's snout and belly. As Beige 29 counts down, tap Beige 36 (row 1, left) to keep harvesting the pale fur, exposing the underlying orange coat.
- Deploy Orange 30 (row 1, middle) into an open slot. Orange ants strip the fox's ears, forehead, and tail. Tap the remaining Beige and White accent boxes in any order as slots clear, leaving only the tips of the orange ears.
- Tap Orange 1 into slot 4. Orange ants carry the last remaining blocks from the top ears directly into the nest, clearing the board and completing the level.

Moves that cost you the level
- Tapping Orange 30 in the early game → Orange fur is buried under the 109-block chest and outer outline, leaving the box stalled in a slot with no exposed blocks.
- Filling all five slots before White 40 finishes stripping the border → Stalls your queue because inner colors cannot reach exposed blocks until the outer white shell is gone.
Quick tips for Level 485
- Prioritize clearing the white perimeter first so that the edge blocks of the chest and body become accessible.
- Focus brown ant boxes on the central 109-block chest early; destroying the chest is required to expose the fox's facial features.
Board breakdown5 notes
- Layout
- A pixel art fox is covered by a massive 109-count locked chest in the center and bordered by a solid white outer frame. Below the nest are 5 slots and a stack arranged in rows of 4 boxes.
- Goal
- Clear all pixel blocks making up the fox and the 109-block central chest using ant boxes from the stack.
- Opening
- Tap Brown 14 and Dark Purple 8 to reach White 40 in the second row. White 40 strips the entire outer perimeter, exposing the underlying dark borders and the chest.
- Trap
- Tapping large interior color boxes like Orange 30 or Beige 35 before the 109-block chest is destroyed; those colors are buried under the chest and will permanently clog your slots.
- Mechanic
- The central chest features a countdown dial (109) that decreases as brown ants haul its blocks away, blocking access to the fox's face until fully demolished.
Level 485 questions
-
What should I tap first on Level 485?
Move the front boxes aside to immediately reach White 40. Deploying White 40 strips the outer frame around the picture, exposing the chest and dark outline blocks.
-
Why are my orange and beige boxes getting stuck?
The fox's facial fur and orange coat are trapped beneath the 109-block chest. You must demolish the chest completely with brown boxes before orange and beige blocks become exposed.
