How to beat Colony Flow! Level 268 — full solution
- Start with the two active Cyan 40 boxes in the slots. They clear the bottom and right outer Cyan border blocks, exposing the outer frame of the red airplane fuselage.
- Tap the Cyan 40 box from row 1 column 1, followed by the Red 34 box (row 1, column 2) and Beige 1 (row 1, column 4). Bring in Purple 21 and Red 18 to begin stripping the left propeller and the outer wings. All five slots are now occupied.
- Allow the Purple ants to strip the vertical propeller pole on the left, reducing the box down to Purple 4 and then clearing it. Continue carving into the cockpit using White 16, which reduces to White 10 while stripping the goggles.
- Tap the Beige 2 box from the front row into slot 4. Because the bird face blocks remain buried, both Beige 1 and Beige 2 sit completely stalled in slots 3 and 4, restricting active work to slots 1 and 2.
- Deploy Cyan boxes into the remaining open slots to carve away the upper sky blocks. Uncovering the cockpit rim allows Beige 7 to begin chipping away at the bird face, freeing up slot space as upper layers peel back.
- Feed Red and Cyan boxes through the open slots to dismantle the tail assembly and mid-fuselage. Bring in Pink boxes to clear the pilot character once the cockpit surrounding blocks vanish.
- Tap the linked Cyan 34 and Cyan 38 pair when two adjacent bays open, wiping out the last remaining Cyan sky blocks along the top border. Route Red 4 and Cyan 4 to finish the wing roots.
- Deploy the remaining Red and Pink boxes into the cleared slots. The ants carry the final cabin blocks and character pixels into the nest hole to complete the level.

Moves that cost you the level
- Tapping Beige 1 and Beige 2 early → the bird's face is locked deep inside the cockpit behind Cyan sky and Red fuselage, leaving two slots permanently deadlocked for most of the level.
- Tapping the linked Cyan 34 box before two slots are open → linked boxes require two empty bays to deploy together, blocking progress if attempted with only one free slot.
Quick tips for Level 268
- Prioritize clearing the Cyan background completely on at least one edge before tapping interior colours.
- When two slots are tied up by stuck boxes, only tap boxes whose matching colour is visibly exposed on the perimeter.
Board breakdown5 notes
- Layout
- A central pixel art illustration of a cartoon bird piloting a red airplane surrounded by a solid Cyan sky border. Five holding slots sit directly above a four-column ant box stack.
- Goal
- Clear all coloured pixels from the airplane image by deploying ant boxes from the stack into the five slots.
- Opening
- The opening begins with two Cyan 40 boxes already working in the slots. Tap additional Cyan boxes to strip the border before touching interior plane colours.
- Trap
- Beige 1 and Beige 2 sit in the front row of the stack. Tapping them early fills two slots while Beige pixels are completely enclosed by Cyan and Red blocks.
- Mechanic
- Linked boxes joined by coloured bars require two free slots to deploy simultaneously.
Level 268 questions
-
Why are the Beige boxes not counting down in Level 268?
Beige pixels make up the bird pilot's face inside the cockpit. They cannot be targeted until the surrounding Cyan sky and Red fuselage blocks are completely cleared.
