Colony Flow! Level 199 Walkthrough

normal Live 8 colours / pieces Checked September 20, 2026

Level 199 features a multi-tiered pixel tapestry of rolling colour waves. Peel through the exposed Cyan and top Red layers first to unlock the inner Green and Yellow bands. Avoid triggering Green or Yellow boxes early while they remain entirely blocked.

How to beat Colony Flow! Level 199 — full solution

  1. Tap Cyan 45 (row 1, column 1) and Cyan 50 (row 1, column 2). They join the starting Cyan 50 in the slots to begin stripping the wide Cyan wave across the board.
  2. Tap Cyan 50, Cyan 45, and Cyan 25 from columns 1 and 2 in any order as they surface. They keep Cyan ants actively dismantling the exposed cyan stripe until three slots free up.
  3. Tap Cyan 40 (row 1, column 4), Pink 17 (row 2, column 4), and Dark Purple 35 (row 3, column 4). This clears out the rightmost column and eliminates the final remnants of the Cyan band.
  4. Tap the linked Red 35 and Hot Pink 45 pair, then Red 50 (column 1) and Red 41 (column 2) in any order. Red and pink ants swarm the top section of the tapestry to uncover the lower bands.
  5. Tap Orange 45 (column 3) and Orange 25 (column 4). Orange ants strip the newly uncovered orange wave along the left edge, freeing up central blocks.
  6. Tap the linked Green 27 and Purple 25 pair connected by the diagonal link bar. Their ants begin targeting the exposed green and purple clusters in the centre.
  7. Tap Pink 20 and Pink 25, then tap Yellow 12 and Light Green 6 as the layers expose. The top half of the board clears completely, leaving two slots free.
  8. Tap Light Green 49, Green 50, Light Green 45, the linked Orange 20 and Orange 50 pair, and Light Green 8 in any order. Their ants dismantle all remaining green, orange, and light green pixels to clear the board.

Moves that cost you the level

  • Tapping the linked Green 27 and Purple 25 pair in the opening → Green pixels are fully buried beneath Cyan and Red, stranding both boxes in the slots and risking a jam.
  • Tapping Orange 45 while Cyan is still blocking the left flank → Orange ants find zero reachable blocks, permanently wasting a slot until Cyan finishes.

Quick tips for Level 199

  • Clear colours strictly from exterior to interior; the outer Cyan wave must vanish before internal Green blocks can be reached.
  • Reserve at least two free slots before activating any linked pair so they do not jam the staging area.
Board breakdown5 notes
Layout
The board features a rectangular pixel picture shaped in wavy horizontal bands of Red, Cyan, Yellow, Orange, and Green. Below the picture sits a single nest hole, five holding slots, and a four-column stack of ant boxes.
Goal
Clear all pixel blocks from the picture using the matching ant boxes before running out of free slots.
Opening
Cyan 50 begins in a slot; immediately feed Cyan 45 and Cyan 50 from the front row to maximize ant throughput on the fully exposed Cyan wave.
Trap
Activating Green 50 or the linked Green 27 pair before the Cyan and Orange layers dissolve will stall the green ants, occupying slots indefinitely.
Mechanic
Linked boxes share a connecting rod across columns or rows and require two vacant slots to enter the board simultaneously.

Level 199 questions

  • What should I tap first on Colony Flow! Level 199?
