How to beat Colony Flow! Level 197 — full solution
- Tap the Green 30 box (front row, middle) and the Brown 40 box (front row, right). Green ants clear outer foliage along the top-right and middle edges, while brown ants clear the tree trunk blocks, keeping slots clear.
- Tap the linked pair of Pink 20 and Green 20 (front row, left and middle). Pink ants strip the cherry blossoms on the upper-left and right sides, while green ants remove foliage around the fox.
- Tap the Dark Green 40 box (row 2, right) and the linked Pink 27 and Brown 27 pair (row 2, middle). Dark green ants pick up darker leaves, while pink and brown clear further floral and branch blocks.
- Tap the Hot Pink 43 box (front row, left) and the Red 50 box behind it once exposed. Ants target the inner petals and branch joints, widening access to the central fox figure.
- Tap the Orange 30 box (row 2, right) and the Brown 30 box (row 2, far right). Orange ants start stripping the exposed fur of the fox while brown ants finish the remaining tree trunk pieces.
- Tap the White 100 box once the face and chest pixels of the fox become exposed, followed by the Orange 40 box. White and orange ants clear the central fox illustration.
- Tap the revealed Grey mystery box once it reaches the front row, releasing its hidden color ants to continue stripping remaining clusters.
- Tap the Dark Green 40 box and remaining Light Green boxes from the base of the stack. Green ants remove the final surrounding canopy and background tiles to finish the level.

Moves that cost you the level
- Tapping the White 100 box before outer fur is cleared → white blocks on the fox's face and chest are enclosed by orange and brown, leaving the White 100 box stuck in a slot indefinitely.
- Tapping both linked boxes when fewer than two slots are open → linked boxes cannot move unless two slots are available simultaneously.
Quick tips for Level 197
- Clear perimeter blossoms and canopy blocks first to expose the interior fur and face of the fox.
- Always reserve two open slots before tapping any linked box pair.
Board breakdown5 notes
- Layout
- The picture shows a seated orange fox with white accents on its chest and face, framed by green leaves, brown branches, and pink cherry blossom petals. Beneath the picture sit two large linked boxes (Purple 45 and Hot Pink 106) over a Hard Level banner, followed by 5 open slots and a deep box stack.
- Goal
- Carry away all pixel blocks composing the fox and cherry blossom artwork using ants from the stack.
- Opening
- Start with the Green 30 and Brown 40 boxes from the front row. Exposed green leaves and outer branch pixels give both ant groups immediate targets.
- Trap
- The White 100 box sits behind other layers and targets inner chest and muzzle blocks; activating white before the surrounding orange fur is stripped causes a permanent slot clog.
- Mechanic
- Linked boxes joined by a connecting bar enter the slots as a pair, requiring at least two empty slots to tap.
Level 197 questions
-
Why won't my linked boxes move into a slot?
Linked boxes must enter together and require at least two empty slots available before tapping.
-
When should I tap the White box on Level 197?
Wait until the orange fur around the fox's face and chest has been carried away, exposing the white pixels underneath.
