How to beat Colony Flow! Level 149 — full solution
- Send the Green 40 box (row 1, column 4) and Brown 35 box (row 1, column 2) into the slots. Green ants strip the outer frame while White 35 finishes the cream pixels, leaving three slots open.
- Send the Green 40 box (row 2, column 1), Yellow 10 box (row 1, column 1), and Black 22 box (row 1, column 3) into the bays. This strips the remaining green border and starts taking the cake base outline, freeing the bottom rows.
- Release the Pink 35 box (row 2, column 2), Yellow 10 box (row 2, column 3), and Brown 35 box (row 2, column 4). Ants clear the lower crust and side background, bringing the active slots to White 24, Brown 5, Pink 7, Yellow 6, and Brown 12.
- Send the Orange 12 box (row 2, column 3) and Yellow 16 box (row 2, column 1) into the slots as slots free up. They clear the lower yellow-orange decorative trim along the bottom of the cake slice, reducing orange to 3 and yellow to 8.
- Tap the Pink 30 box (row 1, column 3) and Pink 30 box (row 2, column 4) to target the strawberry filling patterns inside the white cream. The lower cake layers vanish, leaving only the upper red sponge and strawberry topping.
- Send the Red 30 box (row 1, column 1) and Red 30 box (row 1, column 2) to start peeling the red cake top once exposed. Black 26 (row 1, column 3) joins to clean up the dividing border line around the strawberry.
- Send the Black 20 box (row 3, column 2), Yellow 38 box (row 1, column 2), and Red 32 box (row 1, column 4) into the bays. Ants clear the strawberry seeds, the last inner yellow trim, and the upper sponge.
- Send the Brown 35 box (row 1, column 3) and Brown 36 box (row 2, column 1) into the remaining bays. The ants collect the remaining brown background tiles above the cake and carry them into the nest to complete the level.

Moves that cost you the level
- Tapping the Red 30 boxes from row 3 early → red blocks are completely enclosed inside the cake and strawberry, so red boxes sit inactive and choke the slots.
- Filling all slots with Brown boxes before stripping the black cake outline → brown ants cannot reach the inner background sections until surrounding tiles clear.
Quick tips for Level 149
- Always match the outside border colours first: green, brown, and the bottom yellow crust must be cleared before touching red or white.
- Keep at least two slots rotating with low-number boxes to prevent stalls when large 35-count boxes enter.
Board breakdown5 notes
- Layout
- The picture depicts a slice of strawberry shortcake topped with a strawberry and flower, surrounded by a brown square with a green outer border. Five slots sit above a four-column stack of ant boxes.
- Goal
- Clear all pixel blocks forming the cake and its backdrop by matching ant boxes to exposed perimeter blocks.
- Opening
- White 35 starts already in slot 2. Tap Green 40 and Brown 35 from row 1 to target the exposed perimeter border blocks.
- Trap
- The Red 30 boxes in the bottom rows. Red pixels are buried deep within the cake filling and topping, making early red taps instant slot-blockers.
- Mechanic
- Ant boxes slide into free slots and spawn ants that carry away matching exposed boundary pixels one by one until the box count reaches zero.
Level 149 questions
-
What should I tap first on Level 149?
Tap the Green 40 and Brown 35 boxes from the top row. They remove the outermost green border and brown backdrop to expose the inner cake.
-
Why did my red box get stuck in a slot?
Red blocks form the interior strawberry and cake body. They cannot be gathered until the outer black outlines and frosting layers are removed.
