hard Live 8 colours / pieces Checked September 20, 2026

Level 425 features a vibrant tie-dye spiral picture above five ant slots and a dense stack with linked boxes and padlocks. Strip the outer perimeter colours to uncover embedded keys and dismantle the spiral from the outside in. Avoid deploying buried colours before their spiral layers are exposed.

How to beat Colony Flow! Level 425 — full solution

  1. With Purple 39 and Dark Purple 30 clearing the bottom edge, tap the Green 40 box (row 1, middle) and the linked Orange 50 + Orange 50 pair (row 1, right). Orange ants strip top-left outer curves while green ants clear the top right.
  2. Tap the Pink 40 box (row 1, left) and the Purple 40 box (row 1, second from left). They strip outer pink and purple borders around the lower perimeter, exposing inner layers as the first purple boxes deplete.
  3. Tap the Blue 30 box (row 2, fourth column) and the Pink 30 box (row 2, second column). Blue ants clear exposed blue pixels along the top right, while pink ants strip the lower corners to reveal the Cyan key.
  4. Tap the Cyan 30 box (row 2, middle) and the Orange 30 box (row 2, left). Cyan ants remove the outer cyan edge, collecting the Cyan key at the bottom right and unlocking the padlocked Blue 30 box in the stack.
  5. Tap the unlocked Blue 30 box (row 3, fourth column) and the Green 38 box (row 1, far right). Green and blue ants strip away the top and right outer edges, heavily opening access to inner spiral bands.
  6. Tap the linked Pink 35 + Purple 34 pair (row 1, middle columns). Both boxes enter open slots together, clearing broad bands in the lower half and excavating blocks surrounding the Yellow key at the left.
  7. Collecting the Yellow key unlocks the Yellow padlock in the lower stack; tap the Cyan 34 box (row 1, second column) and Green 40 box. They carve out green and cyan spiral arms, freeing more slot room.
  8. Tap the unlocked Cyan 36 box (row 3, second column) and the Orange 40 box (row 1, left). Orange and cyan ants attack the inner spiral bands, breaking through toward the vortex core.
  9. Tap the linked Cyan 30 + Blue 32 pair (row 1, middle) and the Purple 32 box. Blue and cyan ants clear the inner spiral curves, leaving only the tight center vortex.
  10. Tap the Green 35 box, Orange 16 box, Purple 1 box, and Cyan 2 box in any order. Their ants dismantle the remaining center pixel core, carrying every block into the nest to finish the level.

Moves that cost you the level

  • Tapping the Cyan 30 box in row 2 before removing outer pink blocks → Cyan blocks are buried beneath the border, so the box sits stuck in a slot.
  • Releasing the linked Orange 50 + Orange 50 pair when fewer than two slots are free → Linked boxes require two available slots simultaneously to deploy.

Quick tips for Level 425

  • Prioritize perimeter colours like pink, purple, and green to expose the embedded keys early.
  • Always keep at least two slots open when linked pairs reach the front row of the stack.
Board breakdown5 notes
Layout
A large square tie-dye spiral pixel picture sits above two ant nests. Below the nests are five slots and a dense stack of ant boxes arranged five across in four visible rows, featuring linked pairs and padlocks.
Goal
Clear all colored blocks from the spiral picture by matching ant box colours to exposed outer pixels across 5 slots. There is no timer.
Opening
Start by releasing the Green 40 box and the linked Orange 50 + Orange 50 pair from the front row while Purple 39 and Dark Purple 30 clear the perimeter.
Trap
Tapping the Cyan 30 box before the outer pink and purple borders are stripped will stall it in a slot with no exposed cyan blocks, leaving only one free slot.
Mechanic
Key-and-lock mechanics lock deep stack boxes behind embedded keys (Cyan and Yellow keys) that must be excavated by clearing surrounding blocks, alongside linked box pairs that must enter slots together.
