How to beat Colony Flow! Level 317 — full solution
- Tap Light Blue 45 (row 1, left) and Cyan 8 (row 1, middle). They clear the exposed light blue sky border and outer background grid around the frog hood, freeing two slots.
- Tap Green 20 (revealed in row 1) and Red 44. They clear the exposed green outer rim of the hood and begin stripping the red face and inner mouth blocks.
- Tap Beige 27 (row 1, middle) and White 18. They clear the character's exposed beige face and the frog's white eye whites, opening space in the picture.
- Tap Black 8 as Red counts down to 2. The ants clear the dark eye pupils and deep mouth outlines, leaving Red and Black nearly exhausted.
- Tap Light Blue 40 (row 1, left) and Light Blue 47 (row 1, right). They strip away the remaining background sky tiles on both sides of the frog's head.
- Tap Light Green 30, Light Green 26, and Green 22 in any order. They remove the frog's light green belly pattern and outer green limbs.
- Tap Green 91 and Light Green 100 from the stack. Their ants swarm the dense green torso and legs of the frog costume, rapidly emptying the central picture.
- Tap White 16, Dark Green 37, Green 5, and Light Green 1. They carry away the last dark green accents and green body blocks to complete the frog.

Moves that cost you the level
- Tapping Green 20 before the sky border is peeled → the green costume edges are barely exposed, causing the box to stall and clog a slot.
- Tapping Beige 27 before clearing the frog's mouth and hood → the beige face skin is buried behind outer layers, trapping the box in a slot.
Quick tips for Level 317
- Always peel the outermost light blue sky tiles first to expose the full silhouette of the frog costume.
- Reserve high-capacity boxes like Green 91 and Light Green 100 until the character face and belly layers are cleared.
Board breakdown5 notes
- Layout
- A pixel portrait of a character wearing a green frog costume against a light blue sky backdrop sits above an ant nest. Below are five empty slots and a three-column box stack extending multiple rows deep.
- Goal
- Clear all pixel blocks of the frog portrait by sending ants from boxes into the slots. No timer is present on this level.
- Opening
- Tap Light Blue 45 and Cyan 8 from the front row. The light blue sky forms the outermost layer of the portrait, so these boxes begin carrying blocks immediately without blocking slots.
- Trap
- Tapping large green boxes like Green 91 or Light Green 100 early stalls slots because the inner green costume blocks are completely locked behind the sky, eyes, and face layers.
- Mechanic
- Layered pixel peeling requires clearing external background and frame blocks before the internal character details become accessible to matching ant boxes.
